This year for Thanksgiving my family and I went to Duluth. My sister just got a new job so she had to work over Thanksgiving break. She couldn’t find a chance to come home for the holiday so we brought it to her.

There are so many things to be thankful for this year. I wanted to acknowledge all the good people in my life in this post because I don’t do that enough.

To start I have to thank my family. They do so much for me, from making room in their schedule to bring me to dance and competitions to helping me drive when the roads are questionable.

[Thank you!]

My family is why I’m a positive person today. It’s very hard for me to make friends. It takes me a while to open up to people other than my family. The fact that I’ve grown up with my sister means I’ve always had a friend.

There were several times when I thought to myself, “I have NO friends.” What I didn’t realize was that I did. I had my sister. I’m eternally thankful for her.

She has helped me through a lot of important events in my life. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her. I can’t wait to go on many adventures with her in the future.

I’m also thankful for the only person I’ve called my best friend and actually meant it. Maddie helped me get through the worst parts of my life. I actually don’t think I can call them the worst parts of my life anymore since, in hind sight, she made life so enjoyable. Every minute I spend with her brings a smile to my face. I can’t wait till we are older, and we can travel the world together.

~Thanks Maddie~

My sister and Maddie have helped me get through life, but this past year I haven’t had either of them. They have both been at college. Luckily, I’ve been busy with college classes and dance. Without them I spend a lot of time with my dogs.

I’m extremely grateful for my dogs. They give great hugs, and they always listen to me. I don’t think I can ever live without having a dog. They are so comforting, and they make me very happy. With a dog I always feel like I have a friend.

Those are all the important people in my life. Like I said before I couldn’t have made it to where I am without them.

~ Who are you thankful for this year? ~

I challenge you guys to examine your own life and think of those people you love but have never given them the credit they deserve.

So many aspects go into living a happy life. I believe having a support system is very important. Once you realize who those people are focus on them.

The one of the greatest achievements of my life has been leaving toxic relationships. I used to have so many people I called my friends. As soon as people don’t accept you for who you are realize they are not friends. I’m so happy I changed my life by changing my people.

Leaving friendships definitely left me with fewer people in my life. I wouldn’t change a thing because everyone in my life are people I can trust and that I love dearly.

Thanks for Reading,
