Get to Know Me: Hobbies and Interests

Blogging is fairly new subject to me. I started this as a school project and I have just fallen in love with it. I just want you guys to get to know me a little bit more. These are some of my hobbies and interests that I thought you guys should know about me:

Back Story: Growing up, my family moved a lot. I’ve lived in around 7 different houses between two states, Minnesota and Mississippi. Since I’ve moved around so much, I love my life constantly changing. I’m constantly going to new places, rearranging my room, and trying new things. The start of high school is when we moved to a new house and now this is the house I’m going to be in until I go off to college.

It’s hard to be constantly moving because you run the risk of not being able to make friends or your education is constantly changing. Luckily, I’ve been at the same school since the 3rd grade. The way I keep my life interesting is traveling.

My family tries to go on vacations every year. My last big vacation was to my cousins houseboat in Tennessee. Our next trip is to Disney World. This summer we are also going somewhere abroad to celebrate my graduation, but I won’t find out where we are going until right before we go.  It’s a surprise!

I’ve been to two other countries. I’ve been to Iceland and Aruba, which both seemed like a dream. I definitely want to go back to Iceland.  The feel of the country was so different from the United States, and I loved it.

{If you want to see more pictures from either Iceland or Aruba click here!}

I hope to someday go to every continent (Yes, even Antarctica!).

I also want to live in another country someday, preferably in Europe. I love the idea of learning a different way of living (I do always love my life changing.). I want to experience as many different cultures as I can in my lifetime.

I’ve been dancing all of my life. I started when I was two, and I’v been dancing ballet, jazz, and tap ever since. So you could say dance has consumed my life.

I’m a dancer at The Dance Lab in Rochester, Minnesota, and this year I joined their competition team. I can’t wait to spend the whole year with the awesome people I’ve met there.

Even though my life has been all dance, I’m so thankful that I’m a dancer. I’ve always felt in shape, and I’ve never not been busy. Sure, there are times when I’ve laid in my bed all day, but I know I always have dance practice to look forward to to keep me fit.

All of my life I’ve planned to major in dance in college. This year, my mind changed. I’ve decided I don’t want to spend the rest of my life chained to dance. I want to keep it as just a hobby.

It’s hard to not want to do something you’ve worked your life for, but I know dance will always be in life, just not as much.

I’ve loved every minute I’ve danced, and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world!

Now that you guys know what my life basically consists of, here is a list of some other things I enjoy:
